The Blue Mountains: Cafe Bon Ton & the Scenic World

26 Jan

Not too far from Piggletino’s accommodation, a pleasant European-style Cafe Bon Ton sits in the heart of Leura Village. It was most welcoming for Piggletino when he saw the log fireplace and some wonderful coffee!

Feeling guilty for the indulgence, Piggletino decided to track up the Blue Mountains to discover the Scenic World at Katoomba. There was a good variety of options for the round trip back and forth – you could take the Cableway, Skyway, Railway and/or Walkway! Piggletino recommends doing all if you have time – the Railway was a super-dash down the steepest  incline railway in the world, and the Skyway gave a virtual “walk on air” feel as the glass floor opens above the valley! Definite must-dos as you look out for the Three Sisters!

With so much to see – ranging from the Katoomba Falls to the Miner’s Hut, Piggletino was sure to take lots of water with him! You should too, if you’re planning a visit!

Blue Mountains: Leura Village

22 Jan

Leura Village – a quaint little neighbourhood, akin to a peaceful garden, set in the Blue Mountains. Piggletino checked into the Fairmont Resort, luxurious and comfortable, with a spectacular golf course nearby. Piggletino086

After a good rest, Piggletino stopped by the Toy & Railway Museum located within Leuralla mansion at the end of Olympian Parade. There were lots of teddy bears and toy soldiers in the museum but what was most interesting was the outdoor toy railways! Now Piggletino would love to explore the tracks, only these were too tiny for him!
