Psst! Here’s a little secret!

23 May

Psst! Here’s a little secret! Piggletino just crawled out of bed when he heard someone planning a holiday trip not too far from now! Where are we going this time? Hmm…

Piggletino is now wide awake and watching the weather! Shall have to get up and pack his little bag (though there really isn’t much that he’ll bring!) in time for the flight…Be back soon!

Sayonara, Hokkaido!

An enjoyable trip in all, Piggletino hops into his little “onsen bath tub” along with his wine, Japanese mochi dessert and a cup of green-tea latte!

Goodbye Hokkaido, we’ll be back!

Bye bye Brisbane!

Having made sure he has arrived in the right place, Piggletino checked into a lovely cottage-styled accommodation – Peppers Guest House at Pokolbin! Surrounded by gardens and offering exquisite gourmet delights Peppers Guest House was a natural choice for the clever traveler Piggletino!

The Blue Mountains: Cafe Bon Ton & the Scenic World

26 Jan

Not too far from Piggletino’s accommodation, a pleasant European-style Cafe Bon Ton sits in the heart of Leura Village. It was most welcoming for Piggletino when he saw the log fireplace and some wonderful coffee!

Feeling guilty for the indulgence, Piggletino decided to track up the Blue Mountains to discover the Scenic World at Katoomba. There was a good variety of options for the round trip back and forth – you could take the Cableway, Skyway, Railway and/or Walkway! Piggletino recommends doing all if you have time – the Railway was a super-dash down the steepest  incline railway in the world, and the Skyway gave a virtual “walk on air” feel as the glass floor opens above the valley! Definite must-dos as you look out for the Three Sisters!

With so much to see – ranging from the Katoomba Falls to the Miner’s Hut, Piggletino was sure to take lots of water with him! You should too, if you’re planning a visit!
